Negotiations Updates - CSEA Chapter 250
July 2025
As of June 9, 2025, the tentative agreement between the District and CSEA Chapter 250 for the 2025-26 fiscal year was signed by both parties. The signed agreement paved the way for members to receive the same compensation-related adjustments approved by the Board for most other employees also in June, including a 3.5% increase to salary schedules, implemenation of the results of the Classification Study, and an increase in District contributions toward employee health benefits for eligible employees. Also included in the tentative agreement was the dismissal of PERB Complaint No. 2946 related to an earlier concern about processes used in two position reclassifications. CSEA members should see the salary schedule increase in their first paycheck of the 2025-26 work year.
On July 19 the District and CSEA Chapter 250 reached agreement on a Memorandum of Understanding affirming that all job descriptions and salary placements of CSEA-represented employees are complete and accurately reflect job duties. The agreement also approved all job descriptions. This agreement finalizes implementation of the Classification Study for CSEA Chapter 250.
June 2025
After continued conversations during May, the District and CSEA Chapter 250 have reached tentative agreement over re-opener items including Article 10- Safety, Article 12 – Compensation, and Article 18- Employee Expenses and Materials. The two have also reached tentative agreement on a resolution regarding PERB decision number 2946. The District and CSEA Chapter 250 are now engaged in steps to finalize the signed tentative agreement.
May 2025
Following the necessary public hearings and sunshining of initial proposals, the District and CSEA Chapter 250 continue work to identify dates for negotiations meetings and have begun work to identify CBA re-openers. The articles identified for re-opening are Article 10- Safety, Article 12 – Compensation, and Article 18- Employee Expenses and Materials. The District offered potential bargaining dates in May. After the CSEA field rep notified the District that the offered dates did not work for their negotiations team, dates have now been set for June 16, June 18, July 9 and July 10.
April 2025
As of April 1, the District and CSEA Chapter 250 have begun the annual process of re-opening a maximum of two articles each.
CSEA Chapter 250 has requested to amend their initial re-opener proposal to include salary discussions for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The District has chosen not to re-open any additional articles. Negotiation meetings have yet to be scheduled and are pending an April 23 public hearing.
